Verkotan Oy's roots go back to our time with Nokia, when the company originated. With 20 years of experience, our team is able to offer customers test methods for wireless devices and connection solutions tailored to their needs, as well as product development consulting.

Our specialty is OTA and SAR testing of wireless devices. With a talented team, our own equipment and special test methods, our service offering is extensive and ranges from RF testing to OTA and antenna testing as well as CE, FCC and ISED certifications. We own our own OTA and SAR test chambers on our premises in Oulu.

Verkotan is a leading player in the research and development of wireless connections. Through several projects, we have developed our own new test methods, such as our own measurement system for passive antennas and the beamforming test method for 5G antennas. We are currently involved in researching more efficient 5G connections in the future, together with other technology leaders in Oulu, by participating in the University of Oulu's 5GTN community.

We are a fast, flexible and reliable product development partner that finds the best solutions together with the customer. OTA / SAR Test Engineer Intern

Your responsibilities:
• Part of the production of high-quality test results in a given time frame
• Participating in the construction of the testing system
• Contribution to design and implementation of RF and antenna testing

Requirements:
• Interest in becoming a professional in the antenna test service area
• Studying in engineering or related field (e.g. natural sciences)
• Desire to produce high-quality test results in a given time frame
• Capability of working in a team and in close collaboration with customer
• Ability to document work and report test results efficiently in English
• Desire to take on new challenges and develop new skills

Seen as beneficial for you:
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Previous experience in testing and mathematical analysis skills with excel
• Experience with test equipment (such as VNA, spectrum analyzer, multimeter or cellular communication tester) will be appreciated


Topic for graduate thesis in marketing and business development

Here is an interesting topic for a student, who is looking for a graduate thesis topic
in the field of marketing and business development. This work would be part of Verkotan’s
sub project in the Celtic Next ENTRY 100GHZ -project.

Title : Market analysis of 100GHZ radio technology over-the -air test services

In the study the following questions will be addressed :

• Size of the 100GHZ radio technology market, growth expectation
• Customer/application segments
• Service needs
• Competition
• Potential customers
• Quantify value of test services

We are flexible with the timing of the work. Optimum would be that the thesis would be completed by mid 2023 or latest by the end of 2023
