AA Sakatti Mining Oy is Anglo American’s Finnish subsidiary, established to plan and develop a mine to utilize the Sakatti deposit located in Sodankylä. Sakatti is a unique multimetallic deposit containing metals essential for a modern, low‑carbon society, including copper, nickel, cobalt, and platinum group metals.
The Sakatti Project has offices in Sodankylä and Oulu, as well as a laboratory in Kempele. The project currently employs approximately 65 people.
