Visidon is a spin-off from the Machine Vision Research Center at the University of Oulu. The company was founded in 2006, and this year we will celebrate 20 years of operation. Our founders hold several patents in image processing and image recognition, as well as doctoral degrees with dissertations focused on image enhancement.
Our headquarters and R&D facilities are located in Linnanmaa, Oulu, close to the University of Oulu campus.
We are a leading provider of AI-based image and video enhancement software and computer vision solutions for embedded systems, such as smartphones, TVs, webcams, and surveillance cameras.
Our customers include some of the world’s largest mobile device manufacturers, and Visidon’s algorithms are embedded in more than 1.3 billion mobile phones worldwide. Visidon’s product portfolio includes video quality enhancement, stereo camera solutions, as well as multiframe and computational imaging technologies.
